Śrī Kṛṣṇa-līlā Stava of Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī
Adoration of Kṛṣṇa's Pastimes
Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī’s shortest and simplest work, *Śrī Kṛṣṇa-līlā-stava* is an ecstatic offering of praise in 432 verses punctuated by 108 obeisances. This is the author's personal meditation on Lord Kṛṣṇa’s Vṛndāvana and Mathurā pastimes as he summarizes them from *Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam*, Canto 10, chapters 1-45.
In the last section of the text Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī includes prayers to Śrī Jagannātha-deva, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, “the Lord in five features,” the Deity incarnation, and to the *Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam* itself. He ends with *Dainyārti-vijñāpanam*, a “Confession of the Pain of Helplessness,” describing in great humility his own deliverance by the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
